Been a hell of a long time since I've updated anything at all...and I apologize. It's been...rough. Really rough.

For starters, for all you young college freshmen and sophomores, I have just one thing to say: Double check every damned class you take. Do it now. Because if you don't, you'll end up having to drop out after being told that you're a year and a half behind in YOUR SENIOR YEAR. That's right. All my damned hopes, all my damned dreams, fucked over by the assholes at Mac college.

And then Mommy-dearest, my oh so dear bitch mother, decided that I wasn't taking care of 'her' car correctly (after being told that it would be my car when the insurance expired), and took it back.

So.

I'm stuck here, in a bad place, in a bad job, because my family and mentors have effectively said 'Fuck you, Cass!'

Thank the goddess that I have these incredible friends, though, and my wonderful, crazy, perfectly imperfect fiance.

Nikki, Whit, I'm sorry I haven't said much, and haven't been on. I owe you both a huge apology, and lots of cookies.

Sitting Monkey Studios is looking for people to help in the creation of animated shorts, potentially to become an amateur series. We need artists who are curious about being involved in animation, as a designer, drawing artist, or voice actor, but don't want the hassle of a real job in it just yet. We are just starting out, and have positions open in:

- Animation (the people who make the pictures move)
- Character design
- Background design
- Layout
- Voice acting
- Writing
- Directing (the one who yells at everybody)

Production will be performed in a professional manner, which requires regular attendance at online meetings, responsibility, and cooperation. Heyla, everyone. It's been a while, I know...it's been a rough few months...

First off, I want to say that I've missed this site so much more than I thought I ever could...and looking through all the new talent, I've been feeling a great deal more like my old self than I have in quite a long time. Though, it's been hard...my grandpa died a few days ago, and his funeral's tomorrow. And really, he's the reason I was reminded that family isn't EVER just blood. He was my stepgrandfather, though you never would have known it if you saw us together. My real grandfather...well...he's only that by blood. I honestly would not be surprised to see him tomorrow, all dressed to the nines, smiling that disgusting smirk that reminds me why I, having suffered nothing under him, still manage to hate him more than any other. 'Grandfather' probably would have insisted that I be disowned when I came out to everyone, if he hadn't managed to lynch me first...

Ah, I sound so pathetic, I know...but that's where my grandpa came in. He wasn't blood-kin...and neither are any of you, nor any of my truly dear friends. And yet...and yet you're just as much my family as anyone else...and that's a joy I've long since felt I didn't deserve...But I'm honored to have it. I guess...I just wanted to say that, since I haven't been online in forever, and haven't heard from most of you for just as long. *smiles a little* I think...I won't mourn tomorrow...he wouldn't want to see me cry. But I will celebrate him, and remember...and if something gets in my eyes, I'll let it be for a time...
